SYCAMORE – A North Aurora man was sentenced to probation Thursday for a pair of burglaries committed near Waterman in October.

Michael A. Stanley, 28, of the 100 block of Monroe Street in North Aurora, pleaded guilty to a Class 2 felony burglary charge for taking items Oct. 15 from outbuildings on the 10000 block of Duffy Road and 17000 block of Route 23.

Stanley was sentenced to 36 months of probation. He was credited the 186 days he served in county jail and released. Attorney Peter Gruber, who represented Stanley, said his client was happy with the plea agreement.

“I think my client was pleased with the outcome and happy with the credit for time served and being released on probation,” Gruber said.

Leah R. Behrens, 28, of the first block of Chatham Place in Montgomery, and Bradley J. Stanley, 26, of the first block of Brookside Lane in Bristol, were also charged with burglary in connection with the Oct. 15 incident.

Bradley Stanley pleaded guilty Dec. 21 and was sentenced to 24 months of probation. He was credited for time served. Behrens is due in court Thursday.
