Northern Illinois is certainly taking Jordan Lynch's 2013 Heisman Trophy chances seriously.

On Monday, over two months before the Huskies open the 2013 season at Iowa, the school launched an official Heisman campaign for the senior quarterback, introducing the website Jordan Lynch for 6.

As a junior in 2012, Lynch had 4,953 yards of total offense and 44 touchdowns, setting numerous records. Lynch won the Vern Smith Leadership Award as the Mid-American Conference MVP and finished seventh in the Heisman Trophy balloting.

Lynch is still probably a long shot to even get to New York, but unlike last last year, his name is already out there before the season begins.

You can folllow the campaign on Twitter (@LynchFor6) or Facebook (Jordan Lynch for 6).
