Published: Friday, July 12, 2013 5:30 a.m. CDT

National artists Greg Greenway, Joe Jencks and Pat Wictor each have made their mark as veteran touring singer-songwriters and have come together to form an exciting and popular trio. The Brother Sun Trio’s harmonies and lyrics will provide an evening of song and fun Thursday at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of DeKalb, at North Fourth and Locust streets in DeKalb.

Fusing folk, Americana, blues, pop, jazz, rock and a capella, Brother Sun is an explosion of musical diversity and harmony. They will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the church. Tickets cost $15 each, and the doors open at 7 p.m.

Brother Sun’s new CD, “Some Part of the Truth,” debuted at No. 1 on the folk chart and remained there for nine consecutive weeks. The first track of the CD, “Lady of the Harbor,” also debuted at No. 1. It remained there for four weeks and still is in the Top 10.
