Elephants vs. Donkeys at charity softball game

The DeKalb County Democrats will face off against the DeKalb County Republicans in the inaugural charity softball game to benefit Kishwaukee United Way at 6 p.m. Friday at Suppland Park, off Somonauk Road in Cortland.

Community members coming to cheer on either party’s team or watch to see who prevails in this grudge match are invited to bring chairs and blankets and take it in. Admission is free.

Anyone interested in playing for the Democrats should email markpietrowski@gmail.com. Anyone who would like to play for the Republicans should email skuhnsycamore@aol.com.

Players are asked to donate or raise $25 for the Kishwaukee United Way.
