Selective outrage by Sen. Durbin

Published: Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013 11:43 p.m. CDT

To the Editor:

Attention Sen. Richard Durbin – it appears that you are upset that the phrase “I cannot stand to look at you” was apparently stated to President Barack Obama by a House Republican leader during negotiations over the government shutdown. The White House, at this time, denies this statement.

I would like to ask you, are you nearly as upset that Democratic Rep. Alan Grayson decided to use a burning cross when referencing the tea party?
