DeKALB – Retired state employees with questions about their new health care plan options will have a chance to speak to state officials at a seminar Nov. 18 hosted by State Rep. Robert Pritchard.
Illinois Central Management Services will supply information and answer questions from retirees, Pritchard said in a news release.
Illinois legislators in 2011 approved making changes to state retiree health care, but allowed Gov. Pat Quinn and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees to negotiate details. Central Management Services has developed the plan and is just now sharing details with retirees, Pritchard said in the news release. Retirees can choose a health care option as soon as Tuesday and no later than Dec. 13.
Two seminars are scheduled for Nov. 18, first at 9:30 a.m. and again at 1:30 p.m. at Northern Illinois University’s Carl Sandburg Auditorium, 340 Carroll Ave. in DeKalb.
