DeKalb residents asked to clear storm basins

DeKALB – DeKalb leaders are asking residents to clear snow and ice from storm basins near their homes to prevent flooding during the expected rain. The DeKalb area is expected to get about a third of an inch of rain and ice Friday and about a half-inch of rain Friday night, according to accuweather.com.

DeKalb officials also are asking residents to clear snow and ice from around hydrants. Questions can be directed to the DeKalb Public Works Department at 815-748-2030.
