Cortland car burglary information sought

CORTLAND – Crime Stoppers is seeking information on two car burglaries that occurred in Cortland last month.

Sometime between June 17 and the early morning hours of June 18, a person entered a vehicle in the 100 block of west Meadow Drive and stole a passport, vehicle registration with validation sticker, a purse and about $75.

The next week, between June 23 and the morning hours of June 24, someone entered a vehicle near North Avenue and Llanos Street and stole a pair of Nike cheerleading shoes, a Victoria Secret bag containing tank tops and a bathing suit, and a purse containing $50.

Those with any information about either incident are asked to contact DeKalb County Crime Stoppers at 815-895-3272 or crimestoppers@dekalbcounty.org. Crime Stoppers pays a cash reward of up to $1,000 with anonymous tips.
